BEAUFORT

We left McCotter's around 8;30am, and traveled at a leisurely 7 knots down the  Pamlico for 17 miles, hung a right on Goose Creek (some creek - bigger than the Wisconsin!) for 8, crossed the Neuse for 14, and moseyed on down Adams Creek for 12 more until we reached Town Creek Marina.  We pulled in at 4pm, an impressive 8 hours later than we left.

Gramma at the helm.

We're in serious shrimping country, rivaling parts of Louisiana.  Beaufort is really a vacation destination and fisherman's paradise - in March, a Beaufort fisherman caught the world's record 805 pound tuna (that's $30000 worth of fish!)

 A shrimper on Adams Creek.

Our new neighborhood.

So here we are - close to restaurant, tiki bar, laundry, showers, bathrooms - everything that makes life worth living!!!

Sprightly breeze on Adams Creek...........

Sprightly breeze beats the living @#$%^ out of local palm trees.......

Plenty of things to do here.......... the Aquarium, the Historic Distict, the Maritime museum, Blackbeard's history, the wild horses of Shackleford Bank, incredible fishing, etc.....

Blackbeard parked about a block away.......

Blackbeard's children....................
